This is an archive website of San Antonio’s May of 2009 Elections – Digital Journalism Project, and the first ever Digital Townhall meeting webcasted online in the history of local politics.  SA4Mayor.com digital journalism efforts lead what today is know as backpack journalism and digital reporting using off-the-shelf digital tools as well ad the first recorded use of social media in political campaigning in San Antonio, Texas. On elections night SA4Mayor.com had the distinctive honor to call the Mayoral results before any other local media outlets.

Patricio is an Emmy award-winning Journalist & New Media Specialist. For more than two decades, he has worked with traditional broadcast media from CNN to ABC, Univision, and A&E. An early “cybernaut” Patricio has been on-line since the mid ’80s when the internet was a black screen and only text. He is originally from Ecuador, and his first job was as a handyman at a CBS station in San Diego, California.  As a Journalist, Patricio values the ability to make a difference, to give a voice to those who may not have one. He is a McCormick and a Poynter fellow.
