You decide!

You decide… by “Jorge Bocanegra”

u4mayor125x125No doubt about it.  President Barack Obama set the standard in his run to the White House with his use of the Internet. With the tool Al Gore ‘invented’ Obama raised money, campaign supporters and brought in a whole new kind of voter.

Closer to home, the three front runners in SA4Mayor’s race are taking a page out of the Obama handbook. Julian Castro, Diane Cibrian and Trish DeBerry-Mejia have set up interesting Web Pages to get the prospective voter interested.

Kudos to the people behind the Pages. Everything you ever wanted to know about the Three Amigos (TA) is there at a click. Well, not everything. We still don’t know which developers have padded the candidates’ coffers (more to come on that.) There’s even family pix to prove that the TA are human and not just political machines.

However, the one thing missing from each candidates’ page is a phone number on how to reach their respective campaigns. You can go on line and give them all your information, including a ‘phone’ number on how to reach you, but no number for you to reach them.  So much for transparency.

F-Y-I, I call them the Three Amigos because they haven’t started slinging mud at each other, but the campaigns have just gotten underway.

As for the developer aspect, Watch this space and I’ll point out the players

Editor’s Note:  BTW, SA4Mayor.com is happy to report we have some of the best developers around.

Great to see a new site. The only thing I ask is that some blog try and stay neutral and become a place for lively and respectful debate. With all due respect to Concerned Citizen (who is pretty good about staying neutral, but still strays sometimes)and San Antonio Mayor Blog (who is so one sided its never close) they haven’t provided that place.
